Hi everybody!

The new year is off and running – so that means Scouts is nearly back for 2024.

Below we’ve compiled some handy information to get you up to speed!

— FIRST WEEK BACK —

Our first nights for the term will be:

Joeys (5-8) – Monday 5th Feb 5:00-6:00pm
Cubs (8-11) – Monday 5th Feb 6:30-8:00pm
Scouts (11-15) – Wednesday 7th Feb 7:00pm-9:00pm

If you’re joining us for the first time try to come a tad early so that we can say hello!

All sections will be meeting at the hall. 28 Baan Baan St, Dapto.


— NEW FAMILIES —
Welcome!

Thank you for reaching out this summer and we can guarantee that your kids are going to have a great time as they get in amongst all the action. We also look forward to meeting you at one of our nights early in the term.

— REGISTRATION —
New families

Jump on over to Scout Hub to register your child for their 4 week trial.

Select the ‘New Member’ button to the right, enter the details of your child, and when prompted, select ‘Temporary Membership’.


Existing families 
All children will need to be registered on Scout Hub before they arrive on the first night.


Incase you have not receivded an email from Scouts NSW – just head over to Scout Hub.

Starting this term, we have streamlined our payment system to incorporate the 1st Dapto Group Term Fees alongside the Trek 1 State Scout Fees through Scout Hub. This consolidation aims to simplify the payment process and provide a clearer overview of the financial commitments for our members.

We do offer sibling discounts, early payment discounts, and bespoke payment plans can be arranged to help you manage the repayments over a longer period.
The total cost breakdown for 2024, per member (child) will be as follows:

Trek 1 State Fees: $140
Group Fees for Term 1 and 2 (2 x $40): $80
Total Fee: $220
Early Payment Discount: -$10


Net Amount (if paid by 1 March 2024):

$210 for the first child, and $210 for each additional child.


(**Note that there is also a one-off joining fee of $60 from Scout NSW for a first time registration)

To facilitate smooth registration, and issuance of individual discount codes for each family, we kindly request that you email our Treasurer Mark Anderson (treasurer.1stdapto@gmail.com) indicating the number of members you will be registering. Payment plans are also arranged by contacting treasurer.1stdapto@gmail.com.

— ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHERS —  (use old ones before 31 January 2024!!!)

The NSW Government are discontinuing the old Active Kids program, which will end 31 January 2024. A new combined Active and Creative Kids program begins 1 February 2024.

Existing Active Kids vouchers issued in July 2023 are valid until 31 January 2024, and can be redeemed on Trek 1 fees if processed prior to 31 January. 

A new Active and Creative Kids Voucher will be issued from 1 February 2024. Eligibility criteria has changed. If you are eligible for the new voucher, it can only be redeemed on Trek 1 fees if processed after 1 February. Please note, if you do not register until after 1 February you are not able to attend activities until your registration and fees are finalised. If you are not eligible for the new voucher, please register and pay as normal.
