Thank you to all parents, scouts and friends who contributed to the Bunnings BBQ over the weekend.
This time we had many hands sourcing the food, some bakers on Friday night, and enough assistants at the main tent to keep us on track all day.
We sold every sausage that we bought, plus the two extra packs that we sourced late in the day just to get us to cut-off at 4pm. We also sold all cakes and treats, and connected with a few new parents interested in potentially involving their child into the action at 1st Dapto Scouts.
The day raised around $3000 of funds – money that will help us address a few items around the hall as well as ensure nights and activities are achievable for as low a cost to parents as possible.
Thank you foremost to Emma Faulkner for leading the fundraising effort – it takes a lot of time to organise and Emma can’t do it alone – so thanks again to the parents that assisted where they could.
With some luck we’ll have the opportunity again in the backhalf of the year – so please look out for that!
