Our Scouts of all units are invited to attend several ANZAC activites across our region in rememberence of the sacrifices of our ANZACs past and present.

Note that Scouts require uniform for these marches – please visit the Scouts Shop at Port Kembla THIS WEEK if you need to obtain a uniform for your child for the march (and next term!)

Suggested ANZAC options/activities for 2024 include:

Dapto Pre-ANZAC Day Street March
(Sunday 21st – 1:15pm-3pm, meet Dapto Premium Tyres)

Want to earn a badge????
Additionally to remembering and honouring our soliders, each year Scouts can also attain a ‘Their Service Our Heritage’ badge (colour changes annually and only the current badge should be worn). In order to achieve this badge a scout must participate in 3 ANZAC activities to achieve the ANZAC specialist badge. Photo evidence, craft or similar is helpful.

Suggestions for possible activities include, but are not limited to:

• Take part in an ANZAC marches or ceremony, on or around ANZAC day
• Take part in Remembrance Day
• Invite a Veteran to your meeting to talk to you
• Visit a Veterans Home or the local RSL
• Maintain your local Memorial
• Visit a Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
• ANZAC Services / Crafts at your school or in your community
